Tutor
Division One Academic and Language Services is run by a tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring at almost all levels (upper primary, secondary, & tertiary), and adaptive for students of diverse capability.
The tutor has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts [B.A.]
- Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) with honours [B.E.(Chem) hons.]
- Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering [Ph.D.]
The tutor has also completed further training and studies in effective teaching.
Additionally the tutor has a current Working with Children Check certificate [WWCC].
Clients
It is usually the case that for school students the parents arrange for tutoring, whereas university students and English language learners tend to organise tutoring themselves.
Recent and on-going clients have included:
- several mature-age learners of English:
- intending to improve their fluency so as to improve their ability to interact with people around them in Australia
- required to demonstrate a certain level of proficiency (through IELTS) to secure a job in Australia
- high school students studying mathematics at year 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 (HSC) levels
- including HSC Maths Extension 1, and HSC Maths Extension 2
- high school students studying physics at year 11 and 12 (HSC) levels
- high school students studying chemistry at year 11 and 12 (HSC) levels
- various university students:
- several undergraduate students of statistics subjects
- undergraduate student of applied mathematics
- undergraduate student of physics
- postgraduate student of environmental engineering management
